Paper Mario What to Feed the Flowers

The Gate Flowers are characters that appear in Paper Mario. They mainly come in the colors red, blue, and yellow and guard certain areas in Flower Fields.

History

The main purpose of the Gate Flowers is to block away certain areas from Mario. However, they will complain that they are hungry and request Mario to give them food. The Gate Flowers will only eat Berries that goes with their color. The Red Berry must be given to the red Gate Flower, the Yellow Berry to the yellow Gate Flower, and the Blue Berry to the blue Gate Flower. If Mario doesn't give the Gate Flowers their specific berry and some other item, it will spit it out complaining how bad the item tasted. If Mario gives the correct berry to the Gate Flower, the Gate Flower will gladly open the gate allowing Mario to pass.

Trivia

• It is unclear if the Gate Flowers work for Huff N. Puff. However, due to them allowing Mario to pass whenever they are fed a specific berry, they most likely not.
